How can graphic designers effectively communicate? In your own words, explain the communication process.
They can use images and symbols to go past language barriers and effectively speak to all people. Designer also have to figure out what to say and how to present it to people. For a topic like "smoking is bad" graphic designers will either be straight forward or they will be cunning and go out of the box. The person could just put a picture of a cigarette and a red X in front of it, or they could have someone smoking but the shadow of the cigarette is a gun.
Understanding the history, culture and movements of fine and graphic arts will make you a better producer of visual messages. Why?
In a way graphics and design is the same concept as what people have done in history movements of fine and graphic arts. If the designer knows more about history and cultures it will be easier for him/her to think of ideas when a client asks for a design about this certain event in history or a certain culture of a country.
